The Personal Injury Commission of NSW is an independent statutory tribunal within the justice system of New South Wales. Its primary function is to resolve disputes between people injured in motor accidents or workplaces in NSW and insurers and employers. The commission was established in March 2021, replacing the State Insurance Regulatory Authority’s Dispute Resolution Services and the Workers Compensation Commission.

Bite was asked to design and produce the 100-page 2022 and 2023 Annual Reviews, which were the first full two years of review from the Commission. The brief was to keep the design clean and modern while still retaining the Commission’s visual brand.

By incorporating various design elements including infographics, colour block overlays on photos, and break-out paragraphs to help highlight key parts of the text, Bite created an engaging report. In addition to a printed report, Bite created an accessibility-compliant web PDF, ensuring that the document can be easily accessed and read by a wide range of audiences. Overall, Bite’s work on the Annual Reviews helped the Personal Injury Commission of NSW to effectively communicate their findings and achievements in an engaging and user-friendly manner.
