WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY

World Environment Day, established in 1972 by the United Nations, is celebrated annually on 5 June.

A global platform for public outreach, with participation from over 143 countries annually, each year the program provides a theme and forum for businesses, non government organisations, communities and governments to advocate environmental causes.

The theme for 2021 was ‘Ecosystem Restoration’, with a focus on the economic value that ecosystems add to GDP globally.

Bite developed a short video to highlight that protecting the environment is more than a feel-good green thing, it is an economic imperative.

CITY OF KINGSTON

EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION EVENT

Every year the City of Kingston holds an annual event to celebrate their employees. In 2020, due to the social distancing restrictions involved with the COVID-19 pandemic, this ‘Employee Recognition Event’ was held online via an interactive video conference.

Bite developed the branding of the Kingston Employee Recognition Event and its collateral, which included a 32-page program booklet, eDM invitations, intranet banners, certificates and animated graphics for the interactive video event.

ANZAC DAY

Originally devised to honour the members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who served in the Gallipoli Campaign, Anzac Day is our national day of remembrance that commemorates all Australians and New Zealanders who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations observed on 25 April in both countries.

Bite commemorates the day each year by sharing an interpretation of this solemn day in Australia’s calendar. The 2021 clip is a reflection on the line from the Ode of Remembrance, ‘at the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.’

MELBOURNE CUP

Known as ‘the race that stops the nation’, Australia’s most famous annual thoroughbred horse race, the Melbourne Cup, has been held on the first Tuesday in November since 1861, and is the highlight event of Melbourne’s Spring Racing Carnival.

Bite created a simple animation to help celebrate the fun and excitement that grips the city each year.

ARTZ BLITZ 2020

The City of Kingston’s arts division, Kingston Arts, among other arts and cultural services, offers an annual visual art and creative writing competition for the local community called Artz Blitz. It welcomes artists and writers of all ages and abilities to create a piece of work based on a secret theme in a time span of only 24 hours.

Kingston Arts asked Bite to contemporise the Artz Blitz brand with a bright, fresh and colourful style that was appealing to all age groups.

Bite developed the brand in consultation with Kingston Arts and applied it to several pieces of communication including: postcards, posters, magazine adverts, certificates, online ads and website banners.
